Seifert Logistics Group is taking over LOREL Logistik GmbH

Seifert Logistics Group becomes shareholder of the northern German LOREL Logistik GmbH

The Seifert Logistics Group is taking over LOREL Logistik GmbH with retroactive effect from 1 January 2023. Like Seifert, the Bremen-based logistics service provider is active in contract logistics.

LOREL Logistik GmbH, with around 1,000 employees and a logistics area of more than 120,000 square metres, is one of the leading logistics service providers in Bremen and is engaged, among other things, handling FTL and Returns of a premium car manufacturer.

The growth course of the Seifert Logistics Group has been continuing for years. In addition to new projects, the logistics provider is also interested in strategic partnerships and acquisitions. "We critically examine acquisitions, because additional purchases must be a strategic fit and create value for our group of companies," says Axel Frey, CEO of the Seifert Logistics Group. "LOREL Logistik GmbH is a perfect strategic fit for our portfolio. Thanks to comparable projects at other companiy sites, we are familiar with the requirements and processes of corresponding projects and can therefore exploit synergy effects," adds Frey.

The Seifert Logistics Group is currently operating at more than 45 locations. With this acquisition, the Seifert Logistics Group is building up its presence in northern Germany, which is in tune with the newly established corporate strategy "nextLevel". After Seifert was able to hire its 3,000th employee in February this year, the team continues to grow with the acquisition. "We look forward to continuing to grow with our new colleagues and warmly welcome them to the Seifert team," summarises Harry Seifert, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Seifert Logistics Group.
