Innovation meets tradition: Seifert Logistics Group sets new standards

New record turnover for the Ulm-based family business

Ulm – The Seifert Logistics Group (SLG) continues its success story: With a revenue of around 340 million euros and stable results, the company reached a new milestone in 2024. In a dynamic market environment, SLG has further strengthened its position, realized forward-looking projects, and set crucial courses for sustainable growth.

Performance in all business divisions

The 2024 financial year presented the logistics industry with complex challenges: rising energy prices, geopolitical tensions and fluctuating transport volumes shaped the market. The Seifert Logistics Group (SLG) responded to this environment with strategic foresight and consistent implementation strength. The result: an increase in turnover of 6 percent to around 340 million euros confirms the growth course taken.

In the Transport division, the company set clear priorities through digital innovation and ecological responsibility, including the consistent implementation of sustainable transport concepts, the targeted expansion of the vehicle fleet with alternative drive technologies and the use of optimized route planning systems. In the Logistics division, the focus was on the expansion of existing contract logistics projects and the integration of new locations. With a total logistics area of more than 1 million square meters, SLG is consolidating its position as one of Germany's leading logistics service providers.

Green Logistics: Acting today for tomorrow

Sustainability remains a central element of the corporate strategy. SLG made targeted investments in CO₂-neutral logistics concepts, including the expansion of the e-truck fleet, the development of emission-free transport chains and the use of energy-efficient warehouse technologies. One important step was the completion of the new 5.5 MWp photovoltaic system in Ulm, which serves as a model project for sustainable energy generation. The company has also joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in order to define and implement measurable climate targets.

TISAX certification: highest security standards for customers

Another major highlight of 2024 was the successful TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) certification. Only a few logistics service providers in the industry meet the high requirements of this standard, which was developed specifically for the protection of sensitive data in the automotive and supplier industry. The certification confirms that SLG complies with the highest information security standards and offers its customers maximum data security throughout the entire supply chain.

Roadmap 2025: Shaping the future together

The course has been set for 2025: With a sales target of around 350 million euros, SLG is continuing to pursue an ambitious growth course. An important milestone will be the commissioning of the new logistics center in Bischweier. The major project won in 2024 for a well-known automotive customer will go into operation in mid-2025. The new site will expand the logistics area by 100,000 square meters and strengthen the economic power of the region with over 300 new jobs - a clear signal of SLG's growth momentum.
Other central pillars of the future strategy:

  • Digital transformation: implementation of innovative technologies such as AI-supported process optimization
  • Sustainable infrastructure: further investment in CO₂-neutral logistics concepts and renewable energies
  • Strategic partnerships: Expansion of the partner network for innovative logistics solutions
  • Talent & development: active employee development and use of new working models

"Our vision for 2025 and beyond is clear: we not only want to act as a reliable partner for our customers, but also actively shape the future of logistics as a driver of innovation," explains Axel Frey, CEO of the Seifert Logistics Group. "In doing so, we are focusing on a balance between technological innovation, ecological responsibility and economic stability."
